Bio

Started
riding about fifteen years ago after an inspirational pic in a grocery
store magazine. Not I might add one of the adult variety. After arsing
around on the local trails with friends, i got into "serious"
riding about five years ago and started hitting the trails in Montana.
After graduating from college I decided to go on the road with my
Bob trailer around the Alps. It was here that I first met Ian in Chamonix.
I rode for a couple of days in Chamonix and then left to ride Lake
Garder and other such riding meccas. I kept in touch with Ian during
the winter and decided that the small taster of the trails I had had
in Chamonix was not enough so the offer of a job for the summer was
all I needed to pack my bags and head off to Europe again. |
First
Bike: |
My
first mountain bike was a Bianchi Offsprey with Rock Shox Quadra forks.
She was quite a beast and she certainly taught me the rudiments of
riding and falling off. |
Favorite Bike: |
Yeti
575 - without doubt the best all round mountain bike I have ridden. |
Best
trails: |
In
Chamonix I would say the descent from the Argentiere Glacier is simply
fantastic. Just getting that close to a glacier is amazing, looking
at the seracs and hearing the creaking of the ice, fantastic! Add
that to the rock, switchback, slabby strewn mountain bike trail on
the way down and you are onto a winner. |
|
My
all time favourite trail has got to be Sypes Canyon Trail in Montana.
It really is superb, you name it it has got it, I can certainly reccomend
that anyone who loves to ride checks out this little known trail. |

Local
trails; I always like going up to the Peak District for the mountain
biking as well as the climbing! |
