Tour du Mont Blanc Mountain Bike Holidays with Style

Tour du Mont Blanc Mountain Bike Holidays

The mountain biking around the Chamonix Valley is spectacular. For good mountain bikers there are weeks worth of trails to keep them grinning ear to ear. However, we have been biking in the Chamonix area for six years so now and then like to get right out of the valley and mountain bike all the way around Mont Blanc, through the three countries of France, Switzerland and Italy.

Mountain Bikers Accommodation on the Tour du Mont Blanc

The route we use for our Tour du Mont Blanc holiday has been developed over our time in the area. The guided tour takes fives days of hard but superb mountain biking, staying overnight in a variety of traditional accomodation. To ensure you enjoy the mountain biking to the maximum, a support vehicle carries your kit between overnight stops.

Mountain Bike Downhill on the Tour du Mont Blanc

Its an amazing experience, mountain biking through three countries, with three of the climbs peaking out at over 2000m in altitude. The tour is approximately 165km in length but climbs over 7500m and because of the support vehicle you get to ride all of it with just your daily riding kit. The climbs and long days in the saddle are all worthwhile as you and your bike will get to experience the full variety of Alpine riding from exposed barren high mountain tracks to loamy woodland paths. The scenery is stunning, alpine meadows, waterfalls and lakes are all set to a big mountain backdrop. It really is a fantastic and unique way to see the whole of the Mont Blanc massif.
